The right to brew beer was granted to the town of Loket by Jan Luxembourg. The St. Florian Brewery restored this tradition in 2006 and ever since that time the beer is brewed in the premises of the original malt-house, that today's beer hall. The selection of local beers includes light and dark 11° and 13° beer - the so-called smoked beer. Apart from beer tasting the brewery tour also includes the exhibition of spa cups used to sip water during spa treatments, which contains nearly 1,300 examples that were made before the year 1945. When you are done with the tour of the brewery with the beer tasting and you have seen the exhibit with the cups, your guide will take you to explore the historic section of the town of Loket. You will visit the historic town square, summer open-air theatre and the town’s fortification walls.
