The permanent exhibition of Royal Mint in Jáchymov is focused on the history of this town. In the exhibition you can find collection of local minerals and exhibition of silver mining with mobile model of mining operations. You will also learn about the time of the greatest prosperity of Jáchymov coinage and the Renaissance culture represent Latin school library from 16th century. You can also fi nd information about local industry and prosperity of the town in the era of radon spa. The ethnographic exhibition shows how difficult the life in the hard climatic conditions of the Ore Mountains was. You can see a permanent exhibition documenting the life of political prisoners in the labor camps of the Jáchymov uranium mines after the year 1950. Part of the sight-seeing tour is a large underground where the lapidary is situated.
