The main star of the film festival will be Richard Gere.

While the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival is preparing for its 50th jubilee year, it has already aired some of the names of the distinguished foreign guests that will be seen in the city's festival streets.

The main star is leading American actor Richard Gere who will come to Karlovy Vary to accept the highest award, i.e. the Crystal Globe for Outstanding Artistic Contribution to World Cinema. Another notable guest of the festival will be Irish actor Jamie Dornan who portrayed the lead male character in the adaptation of the erotic novel Fifty Shades of Gray. The Karlovy Vary festival will once again welcome actor and 2004 award holder Harvey Keitel who will present Paolo Sorrentino's Youth (La Giovinezza, 2015), in which he and Michael Caine portrayed the lead characters.

The one-of-a-kind film festival will be held from 3 to 11 July 2015 and apart from film stars, it will offer an array of films by various directors from all over the world along with an abundant accompanying programme including concerts and parties around the city.

As a part of the festival grand finale, director Leslye Headland will present the hit of this year's Sundance Festival, Sleeping with Other People.
